Camp Venture has a unique and effective teaching method that combines collaboration with competition.
Our participants will be sorted into fair teams and will learn business skills through engaging presentations. After learning new business skills, teams will strengthen their learning through hands-on competition against the other teams. Our highly trained counselors will help guide teams through the competitions and ensure that all of our participants fully grasp the business skills being taught. This method ensures that no participants are left out or struggle to learn, and that all participants are excitedly engaged with the concepts being taught.
Camp Venture has a uniquely structured program that won't be found in any other summer camp. With years of experience in youth programming and business education, our counselors understand what skills are most important to our participants and how to effectively teach those skills.
At the start of the week, participants will be separated into balanced teams. Each team will be its own mock company, and each team member will be a founding partner of the company. Each company will get a dedicated office, complete with an array of problem solving and collaboration tools.
We teach a variety of business skills to our participants in segmented group settings. After teaching a planned set of business skills, participants will return to their company's headquarters for a competitive challenge that incorporates the skills that they just learned. Our companies will have tools and technology provided to solve the challenges, and counselors will provide guidance that best facilitates learning while still allowing participants to creatively solve problems.
We use this unique approach to foster a sense of ownership and autonomy in our participants. Learning new things, especially over summer break, can be uninteresting and cumbersome. By having participants take the learning into their own hands, we open doors for unique, personalized learning experiences. This exploration of business through collaboration with peers, individualistic expression, and competitive motivation allows for a business learning environment where participants will be engaged and excited to learn more.

The business world demands creativity and innovation. Our challenges require outside-the-box thinking and encourage participants to approach problems creatively. By promoting innovation at Camp Venture, we hope that participants will be able to approach challenges with a newfound sense of creativity.
Our program is designed to challenge our participants. We will present them with unique scenarios and problems, which they will be asked to solve. Through these challenges, we hope to foster problem solving skills in our participants. Our presentations, counselor direction, and team balancing ensure that our challenges perfectly fit our participants.
Participants will be sorted into mock companies at the start of the week. They will work with their companies to approach challenges, better understand business skills, and gain new perspectives. This group approach allows participants to accomplish more in our activities through competitive yet collaborative learning.
We understand the importance of fun at a summer camp. We want Camp Venture to be a memorable, fun, and practical experience for our participants. We accomplish this by providing an exciting, hands-on business learning experience. Through our team building activities and fast-paced atmosphere, our participants will have a blast at Camp Venture.
